Great stripe-faced bat (Brazilian Cerrado) (Vampyrodes caraccioli) I’ve never seen a stripe-faced bat I never hoped to see one But I can tell you this right now I’d rather see than be one. Hispaniola edible rat (Hispaniola) (Brotomys voratus) Gonzalo Fernandez de Oviedo y Valdez captured one of these guys in Dominica in 1916 and once he had removed the bristles he observed that the creature was quite delicious.
